Water Damage
Typeface
Water Damage is a unique typeface inspired by the look of black mold, the kind you get from water damage in buildings. Its shape also brings to mind puddles, whether from rain, spills, or tears, it captures the idea of water damage. I created this typeface by drawing letters with oil then sponging ink on top. This created a negative effect with the oil and water separating.
This typeface is super versatile and can be used for all kinds of creative projects—ads, book covers, albums, posters, and more. Its splashy, fluid style makes it a great fit for ads promoting shampoo or cleaning products, playing up the theme of moisture and freshness. Depending on color choices, it can also work well for children's books, thrillers, dramas, and mystery covers, adding a unique touch to each.
